Dr. Doris Collins

Dr. Doris Collins brings 40 years of higher education experience to our campus advisory services team. She has provided consultant services to over 25 universities nationally. 

Before joining OREG, Dr. Doris Collins served as Vice President of University Partnerships for Campus Living Villages (CLV). There, she emerged as a leader in developing solutions-based policies to streamline business operations and improve university relationships.  

While serving as Director of Residential Life and Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Life and Academic Services at LSU, Dr. Collins developed the first nationally accredited childcare center program and facility.

Doris was also instrumental in developing and initiating a $185 million master plan that included student housing, student union, and the recreation center.

Doris designed and provided oversight of the building of the first residential building built on the LSU campus in over 30 years.

Additionally, Dr. Collins collaborated with Academic Affairs to create and develop a robust residential college system, including designing the first residential college.

As a leading expert in the housing industry, she served on the Southeastern Association of College and University Housing Officers (SEAHO) executive committees. She also served as President and Treasurer of the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I).

Dr. Collins has served as a panelist for enterprise-level discussions, including:

  • Privatization in Higher Education for the National Associate of Campus Auxiliary Services (NACAS).
  • Interface Student Housing Conference

Dr. Collins received the highest honors in both SEAHO and ACUHO-I, including leadership and service awards and the Parthenon Award.  Higher education has her as one of the “top shapers of the housing profession.”

Dr. Collins enjoys traveling and enjoying the natural beauty of the world as much as possible.
